Austmine STEM METS Program

Applications have now CLOSED for 2019 placements

The Austmine STEM METS Career Pathway Program is designed to provide students on-the-job experience, mentoring and soft skills training for a successful STEM career in the METS sector, through a ten-week paid internship at a METS company. Participating students also receive additional online coaching, student Austmine membership and ongoing support through their internship. Austmine, the leading industry body for the Australian METS sector, developed this program with support from METS Ignited, the Federal Government’s Industry Growth Centre dedicated to the METS sector. Together, we are working to increase the number of students seeking a career in the dynamic, innovative and technologically advanced METS sector.

  • Get a foot in the door at globally recognised companies with offices around the world

  • Gain advice and support from a leading industry association on interviews, networking, managing up and more through our online training events

  • Have your first taste of a sector that is innovative, exciting, technologically advanced and offers fantastic career opportunities

"Based on feedback received during Elisa's time at SNC-Lavalin, she really enjoyed the experience, and the same can also be said for all SNC-Lavalin employees that interacted with Elisa. Definitely a worthwhile initiative that I look forward to repeating this year".
